Courtney and made a promise after Hayden was born that her diagnosis wasn’t going to slow us down.  This means we are going to go on the same vacations that we would have gone on before she was born, regardless of how difficult it would be.  This year, we decided on a cruise for spring break, and everyone was coming.  So off to Florida we went.  For those of you who have been on cruises, the size of the staterooms leave a lot to be desired.  Let’s just say, the beds, pack and play, stroller and luggage did not leave much room for anything, or anyone else.

Regardless of how cramped we were, we had a great time.  Mimi and Poppy joined us and took the two older kids in their own cramped room and Courtney and I got the two little girls.  We ate, we swam, we ate, we watched a magic show, we ate, we went to the beach, we ate, we held monkeys, we ate.  Did I mention that we ate?  Hayden loved the cruise for this reason.  She has fully transitioned to eating by mouth and she LOVES food.  She got to try all new foods for dinner and what’s better than ending every dinner with ice cream!  However, the best thing she ate was our last morning on the cruise… she got a donut for breakfast.  Look at the picture below, it tells you everything you need to know!

I’m not going to lie, its hard to travel with Hayden.  She can’t do much on her own and someone always has to be helping her and/or keeping an eye on her.  It can get exhausting.  However, as I started this post out, we aren’t going to let it slow us down.  We want our little girl to see the world and we want the world to see our little girl.  We want her to experience everything she can in her life and we are going to do what we can to make that a reality.

Did I mention we were exhausted?  Well, someone else was too.  See the last picture below, that sums up how much fun we had!
