Why I’m climbing mountains for Hayden

Hi friends,

On August 1, my brother Chris and I will be climbing Mount Harvard and Mount Columbia, two 14,000-foot peaks in Colorado. Our climb will be 15 miles long and have over 6,000 feet of elevation change.  My goal is to raise $14,000 for every 1,000 feet of elevation to further Schaaf-Yang Syndrome research, in honor of my daughter, Hayden.

Hayden was born with Schaaf-Yang Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder. She works so hard to do things most of us take for granted—walking, communicating, playing. She climbs her own mountains every single day. So I’m climbing these two.

We’ve set up a fundraiser through Faith for Hayden, and I’d be honored if you’d consider supporting: https://faithforhayden.org/climb/

Every dollar goes toward critical research that could give Hayden and kids like her a brighter future.

Thanks for being part of this journey,

—Matt
